His coaches were Richard Schlenker and John Stokes. He wrestled for the Braves of Indian Hills High School, who compete in the North Bergen Interscholastic Athletic League, the NJSIAA and wrestling powerhouse Bergen County.
He wrestled this year in the 185 pound class and also jumped up to the 215 pound class, for his team, for some matches.
